As a part of the City of Calgary’s POSEIDONOnline online process for Land Development Applications, a Deep Fills Report (GEODEEP) may be required as a part of your development application. In the City of Calgary, and many of the surrounding municipalities including Cochrane, Airdrie, etc, a Deep Fills Report is required for any areas within the Land Development Application that have will have fills greater than two meters deep.
The primary deliverables within a Factor Geotechnical Deep Fills Report are listed below

Foundation recommendations for structures placed on deep fills
Bearing certificates (or the requirements for them)
Appropriate uses for stripped soils (landscape fill, common fill, etc)
Provide magnitudes and rates of settlement for the underlying native soils and fill soils
Provide lag times between completion of fill placement and construction of structures, roads, or utilities within the deep fills areas
